- A retrospective study of Malassezia folliculitis in outpatient health unit in skin and sex DR. Soetomo Hospital period 2013-2014 Background : Malassezia folliculitis (MF) is a chronic infectious disease of the hair follicles caused by the fungus Malassezia sp. most often affects adolescents or young adults. Objective : Evaluate the profil case of MF DR. Soetomo Hospital period 2013-2014. Methods : This study used a kind of retrospective with observational design. Data obtained from the medical records of the status of patients undergoing treatment in hospitals DR. Soetomo period 2013-2014. Results : Given the number of patients with MF total 158 patients, with 132 (83.5%) is the most recent case. Include the patient's age, 15-24 years of 103 patients (65.18%), most male gender - men as much as 90 patients (56.96%), the main complaint of patients, include, acne / pimples with intense itching in 75 patients (47.46%), the most morphology of the lesion is papule of 153 patients (96.83%), the lesions appear on back as many as 127 patients (80.37%), most patients who come do not have risk factors by 99 patients (62.66%), investigations are most used are KOH as much in 74 patients (46.83%), the treatment given to all patients MF is ketoconazole 200 mg tablet 2 x 1 with long-time provision for 2 weeks.
