  • Exclusive breastfeeding is the breastfeeding given to babies from birth for six month without adding and replaced with other food or drink, except medicine, vitamins and minerals. ASI is a specific-species, because breastfeeding is the liduid substance can continue to customize the content to the needs of the baby, anti-infection which has so many components of the immune system both humoral and cellular, baby can modulate its own immunesystem to survive and achieve growth and development. The aim of this studied is to analyized correlation determinant maternal behavior the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Community Health Centre Area of Lameuru. This study was an analytic observational study used case control design. This study conducted in Community Health Centre Area of Lameuru. Sample size for each case and control groups were 41 mothers of infants aged 6-12 months. Data analysis was carried out simultaneously to the dependent and independent variables with multiple logistic regression. The result showed that the education (OR= 28,57), intention (OR=52,63), social support (OR=10,25), accessibility of information (OR=20,00) and action situation (OR=6,33) affecting the success of exclusive breastfeeding. The conclusion of this studied were the determinant of maternal behavior (intention and accessibility of information) correlation with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Community Health Centre Area of Lameuru. The suggestions were to improve health promotion efforts, especially regarding exclusive breastfeeding intensively through direct communication to the public, to participate involve husbands, families, community leaders, nurses, midwives and community volunteers in Community Health Centre Area of Lameuru.
