- This research is purposed to analyze the influence difference of Entrakid and biscuit MP-ASI giving toward increasing of malnutrition status in the children below the age of five with under nutrition (UN) status, at Jembrana Regency, Bali. Type of this research was experimental research. Research design was non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Research population was under nutrition children in 12-60 months old. Research sample was the children from random result with inclusion criteria: 12-24 months old who has under nutrition status (according to Z score of Body Weight for Age (BW/A) index was –3SD to <-2SD, health, not has heavy disease and innate disorder and get parents agreement). There were 32 children below the age of five that then divided to be 2 groups. Where the control group was given with SFG Biscuit MP-ASI (West area) and treatment group was given with SFG Entrakid (East area). The giving of Supplementary Food Giving (SFG) was during 8 weeks (60 days). Data analysis technique of nutrition status difference used t test, while interfere variable difference and control used chi square test. Research result obtained that the giving of two types of SGF could increase the nutrition status of UN children below the age of five where the t test result of paired sample indicated that significant difference of nutrition status before and after research (according to Z score BW/A p value=0,000 Z score of Body Weight for Body Length (BB/BL) p value=0,000, p<=0,05). The giving of SFG Entrakid tended to increase the higher nutrition status than SGF Biscuit MP-ASI, because according to t test result of 2 independent samples indicated significant difference (according to Z score BW/A p value=0,000 and Z score BW/BL p value=0,005, p<=0,05). It was strengthened with t test result of 2 independent samples of nutrition status increasing difference in the initial and the post of intervention, that indicated the significant difference between two groups of research (according to Z score of BW/A p value=0,000 and Z score BW/BL p value=0,000, p<=0,05).
