- Drones are one of the results of technological advances. Drones are aircraft without pilots / crew. The drone designed in this study was a type of multicopter drone (quadcopter). One of the disadvantages of quadcopter is the relatively short flight time. The frame is important because it is the place to put other components of the Quadcopter. Photovoltaic has the ability to convert sunlight into selected electricity to increase flight times of quadcopter. The frame that will be designed uses aluminum hollow material, while for photovoltaic uses the type of policristaline. In this final project, it describes the design of a quadcopter frame that carries photovoltaic and the effect of photovoltaic weights on the lifespan of a quadcopter. The test is divided into three modes, namely photovoltaic testing, with 1Wp photovoltaic and 3.5Wp photovoltaic. From the simulation results of the quadcopter frame, the frame is declared safe to use because it has a safety factor of 2.11, for testing photovoltaic quadcopter reduction of up to 33 seconds, with 1Wp power photovoltaic increasing the battery voltage drop rate by 13% and decreasing the decrease index battery voltage of 5%. With 3.5Wp power photovoltaic the battery voltage drop rate increases by 17% and decreases the battery voltage drop index by 5%. Keywords: Drone, quadcopter, frame, photovoltaic, policristaline.
