Otang Hidayat, M.Pd., and Adviser 2 Ida Yayu Nurul Hizqiyah, S.Pd., M.Si. The main objective of this study is to find out the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) to improve thinking and communicating with clarity and percision on enviromental pollution concept. This research is expecteed to imrpove students learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspect on the the thinking and communicating with clarity and percision, while teacher and school can be used as an alternative consideration to optimize the application of innovative, active and communicative learning and it is able to improve the quality of graduates until to create competent graduates can competence with graduates from othe school. This sample of this research is class X MIA 7 in SMA Negeri 22 Bandung which consist of 36 students. This method of this research used is pre-experimental. The research data is analyzed by using t-test and correlation test. The result got N-Gain score 0,58 in cognitive assessment with medium criteria, 78,22 in affective with nice criteria, and 84,16 in psychomotor assessment with very nice criteria. Whereas, the result of correlation test that if pyschomotor score is high, then the affective and cognitive score is more high. So, it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) can to improve thinking and communicating with clarity and percision on environmental pollution concept.
