- This research background is the increasing of fuel price, especially oil, is causing consumer to switch to wood charcoal as fuel. But the wood charcoalprice is increaseing too.On the other side the city garbage becomes complex problem to handle.However the city garbage can be used to be energy source. We can elaborate the two problem solving to make briquettes from mixture of garbage and wood charcoal. The study begins with the making of briquettes, which the mixture is crushed to 100 mesh size and then pressed at agressure of 250 kg/cm2. The result of the research show that CO emission is affected by the airflow rate, but not affected by briquttes geometry.
