- Landscape and building have a very tight correlation, such as a destruction of natural vegetation, land disturbance and erosion, kinds of exotic vegetation on farming activity, also a restriction on animal’s life and wild vegetation. Thus, the effect of construction activity on landscape became the function of space (density and pattern), and the component which were temporary (change of density and pattern from time to time). This research included the impact/determination of building density and part of the landscape toward the land closure and land ownership; how the space pattern of building affected the part of landscape; and how the building and landscape were changed from time to time. The area of Grogol River is in Palmerah District area, Jakarta. According to the observation result, it is concluded that there are many land usage which is not appropriate with the function, so that the conservation efforts on soil protection, vegetation, and resource still need to be increased again.
