  • TiO2-SiO2 compound has been synthesized by using sol-gel method. The research carried out some synthesis modification to get TiO2-SiO2 compound they are variety of CTABr surfactant concentration, calcination time and temperature, as well as ratio of Ti and Si composition. From result of characterization known that morphology compound of changed. XRD showed that highest is anatase at 2 = 25,30o stable at 500oC. Crystalinity process of TiO2 was influenced by CTABr surfactant and chitosan. SEM images showed that particle homogenously distributed with pored surface. EDX analysis showed that by doing some modification morphology of TiO2-SiO2 compound changed that was identified as highest intensity of TiO2 at 4,5 keV as 83,42% by adding CTABr 30%. FTIR spectrum showed that there are Ti-O-Si, Ti-O-Ti, and Si-O-Si interaction investigated at 4000-400 cm-1 wavenumber. Keywords: TiO2, chitosan, CTABr surfactant, sol-gel
