  • The research was conducted in households in Kerinci Regency, Sub district of Kayu Aro. The aimed of this research was to determine the pattern of consumption, the factors that influence the consumption of beef and elasticity value. The method in this research was used a survey. Respondents in this research were housewives. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression equation with SPSS version 16. Results obtained from the average amount of beef consumption 1.16 kg / household / month, share of 3.71% and frequency as much as 2 times and obtained the regression equation is Y = -5.301 + 2.668 + 5.697 E-5X1 E-5x2 - 5x3 + 5.551 E-2.249 E + 0.000 X4-7X5 - 0,023 X6. It can be concluded that the results of the estimation of the model variables that significantly affect the consumption of beef is Income, the price of beef, chicken beef prices and the price of eggs. As for the price of fish has no significant effect on beef consumption. Value obtained is the price elasticity of beef is 1,835, chicken meat prices 1,555 , the price of eggs 0 and revenues 0,459.
