- This research aim to analysis the effect of export crude palm oil (CPO) to Gross Regional Domestic Product in West Sumatera by using OLS model and secondary data with 13 year from 1999 to 2011, that obtain from Central Bureau Statistics of West Sumatra (various edition), Estate Agency of West Sumatera (various edition), Books, Thesis, Economic Jurnal and Internet (various source). Although affected by global crisis, West Sumatera’s CPO export still has a very bright prospect in the future. And still have big contribution to Gross Regional Domestic Product. The result of this research showed that the export of CPO gives significant influence toward the growth of economy in West Sumatera Province.
