- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a condition of structural abnormality or renal function characterized by abnormal albumin excretion or decreased renal function wereseen with Glomerular Filtration Rate (LFG) examination lasting more than three months.Patient with GFR less than 15ml/min/1,73m2 requiring Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) such as hemodialysis. Hemodialysis is a theraphy that takes a long time, has complications, and requires patient compliance. This condition will provide physiological and psychological stressors of patients which can affects the quality of life of the patients. This research is conducted for the purpose of knowing the relationbetween duration of hemodialysis with the quality of life patients chronic kidney disease with diabetes melitus in Dr. M. Djamil Hospital. The type of this research is analytical observassional with cross sectional study design approach involving thirty one respondents with chronic kidney disease patients who undergoing hemodialysis. The data is analyzed with Chi Square test. This study used primary data obtained by questionnaires Kidney Disease Quality Of Life Short Form 1.3 (KDQOL SF 1.3). Based on the result of this research there were seventeen patients (54,8%) who undergoing hemodialysis for less than twelvemonths and four of them have a good quality of life and thirteen others have a poor quality of life. Statistical test results p value = 0,022 (p<0,05). The conclusion of this research, there are significant correlation between duration of hemodialysis with the quality of life patients chronic kidney disease with diabetes melitus.
