  • PY_1 and PY_2 compounds have been isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of Sagenomella sclerotialis (WR 2) symbiotic with marine sponge Haliclona fascigera from South Pesisir, West Sumatera. Fungi isolate was identified with the molecular determination 18S rRNA gene using a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction). The result showed that symbiotic fungi WR 2 was Sagenomella sclerotialis. Fungi isolate was grown on Sabouraud Dextrose Agar media then cultivated in rice media for 30 days. Secondary metabolite was extracted with ethyl acetate and extract was deffated with methanol and n-hexane Semi polar fraction that has antibacterial activity continued to isolation phase. Semipolar fraction was separated using column chromatography with sephadex LH-20 and silica gel 60 as the stationary phase. The mobile phase was eluted by isocaratic and step gradient polarity method, respectively. PY_1 was brown semi solid (123,6 mg ) with Rf value 0,51 using the diclorometana : methanol : formic acid (4 : 1 : 1%). PY_2 was yellow crystal (34,1 mg ) with Rf value 0,49 using the diclorometana : methanol : formic acid (4 : 1 : 1%) and melting point was 180,8-182,0 oC. Antibacterial activity result both of compound against Staphylococcus aureus and MRSA with agar difussion method didn’t show any antibacterial activity.
