- The purpose of this research is to study how Public Relation of government in giving support, to overcome the suspicion of society, to overcoming the ignorance from the public and fellow local authority in the implementation of work program of Jambi city government,in addition to, is this research is also know internal motivation and barrier bureaucracy to Public Relations performance. The research isusing study qualitative method. Data are collected by using in-depth interviews, documentation and observation. The informantarePublic Relations practitioners of Jambi city government and member of community. The results of this study indicate that in providing government support,Public Relations conduct several stages that are doing situation analysis, planning, strategy and evaluation. The Public Relations of Jambi City Government is very creative in utilizing the mass media for mapping suspicions that arise from the public, then thePublic Relationsis also adaptive in using new and outdoor media in overcoming the ignorance attitude of public. The Public Relations is also conduct work agreements on internal bureaucracy to encourage the optimization of performance,for facing with the constraints taking place that caused by internal and external factors.
