  • Essential oil from Jasmine oil has successfully isolated by enfleurage and maceration method by using shortening as absorbenand hexane as a solvent. The absorption process in enfleurage performed for seven days by replacing the flowers everyday. Shortening which has been saturated dilluted by hexane and filtered. Maceration process performed for 24 hours by using hexane. The chemical components from essential oil were determined by using Gas Cromatograpy-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS). The major components from essential oil isolated by enfleurage was 5 components and major components from essential oil isolated by maceration was 4 components. The concreate yields of essential oil by enfleurage were found 16,23 % and 9,05% for maceration. Keywords: Essential oil, Jasmine, Enfleurage, Maceration, GC-MS
