- ABSTRACT This research is aimed to test the effect of capital structure to firm financial performance. Dependent variable is firm financial performance represented by profitability rate with the indicator of return on equity (ROE). While independent variables consist of short term debt (STD), long term debt (LTD) and total debt (TD). In addition, this study also use sales growth (SG) and firm size (FS) as control variable. Population in this research is hotel, restaurants, and tourism sub sector that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2012 to 2015. Sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling. Data from 12 companies was taken as research samples. The data of this research analyzed using multiple linier regression model. The result of this research shows that the STD and TD have significant effect on the firm financial performance, while LTD has no significant effect on the firm financial performance.
