- This study aimed to analyze the understanding level of individual taxpayers duties in the 50 Kota District. In this study discusses the understanding of taxpayers and taxpayer compliance. Collecting data in this study using questionnaires distributed in 50 individual taxpayer who already have a Tax Registratiom Number in 50 Kota District. Of the 50 questionnaires distributed only as much as 42 questionnaires were returned and 37 questionnaires that can be processed. The data collected were processed using SPSS 0.16 for Windows. Results of this study suggest that the level of understanding of tax obligations individual taxpayers in the 50 Kota District declared less understood. This is because of the overall respondents surveyed only 37.84% of which can be understood and the balance stated otherwise less understood. Keywords:Understanding of Taxpayer
