  • Zeolite ZSM-5 has been successfully synthesized from rice husk ash fused with NaOH at a temperature of 550 o C with and without organic template CTABr (Cetyltimetylammonium bromide) using sea water solvent for crystallization process at a temperature of 170 o C. Effect of variation of pH conditions (9, 10, and 11) was performed to obtained zeolite ZSM-5 with good crystallinity. From the results of FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared) and XRD (X-ray Diffraction) at all pH conditions both with and without organic template zeolite ZSM-5 has been formed. The higher the pH conditions of synthesis of zeolites, the spectrum produced sharper and show the better the specific formation of zeolite ZSM-5. While the results of SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) showed the zeolite synthesized with the organic template at a pH of 11 is showing the morphology of zeolite ZSM-5 zeolite shaped bar than the synthesized without organic template showing the morphology shaped chunks. EDX (Energy Dispersive X-ray) results obtained from the Si / Al ratio as high as 47.54 which is the range of zeolite ZSM-5.
