- Double burden malnutition was world nutritional problem especially in developing countries like Indonesia. Factors influence the double burden malnutrition incidences such as maternal education level, maternal knowledge, economic status, and parenting. In Indonesia,11-17%of families had founded experience double burden malnutrition. This study was conducted to determine the relationship of mother's education level, economic status, mother's knowledge, and parenting with double burden malnutrition in family. This study was designed analytic study with cross sectional approach. This study was conducted on February – October 2015 at health center of Air Tawar, Padang city. The population in this study was all the family (mother-children). The samples used were 106 respondents. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate analyzes. Incident of double burden malnutrition was 5.7% from 106 respondents. Based on bivariate analysis found education level (p = 0.178), economic status (p = 0.211), mother knowledge (p = 0.421), and parenting (p = 0.491). This study showed that there was no association between maternal education, family economic status, mother knowledge and parenting with the incidence of double burden malnutrition in the family. Expected in the next study can be researched other factors related to double burden malnutrition. Keywords: double burden malnutrition, education level, economic status, mother knowledge, parenting
