  • The focus of this research is to use the WhatsApp application for teaching. This research is limited to the creation of descriptive texts, where descriptive texts are taken into account in teacher training. Strategies limited to the 7th grade teacher class. The educational goal is the descriptive text of the seventh degree of SMP N 3Medan. The question of this research is a high school teacher, especially the seventh grade English teacher of SMP N 3Medan. This revised study conducted qualitative and descriptive interviews through direct observation. Data analysis showed that SMP 3 Medan teacher taught two learning strategies through online teaching, although part of the two strategies was used. Strategies used by the teacher The teacher uses descriptive descriptive letters, two strategies, imagination strategy and scaffolding strategy. The purpose of this strategy is to understand the material. Using this strategy, teachers can write letters to students independently, increasing the number of students who understand the device. In the scaffolding strategy, the teacher shaped the students' ability to think independently. If you think about it for yourself, students can finally be at home. Students make a product description at home and turn it into their favorite, and then discuss the online process with the whole class.
