- This research is a study that analyzes the personality traits of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde film. This study aims to determine the character and characterization of the main character in the film Legally Blonde. This research is included in the literature study. The researcher focuses on dialogue and action in the film, and after that analyzes the characters and characterizations based on the theory of Paul Costa and Robert McCrae. There are five personality traits, namely extraversion, neuroticism, conscientiousness, openness to experience, and agreeableness. In this study, researchers found the five of the Big Five Personality traits on the character Elle Woods, namely, Neuroticism (29.4%), Introversion / Extraversion (26.4%), Agreeableness (20.5%), Conscientiousness (14.7%), and Openness to Experience (9%). This study used a qualitative description method. The writer employs herself to collect the data by reading the script, watching the film and marking them. From the analysis of the personality of the character Elle Woods in the film Legally Blonde, it can be concluded that the five personality traits from The Big Five personalities are used in the film. From the theory used, the researcher found that the characteristics of Elle Woods' Neuroticism are complaining person, anger, irritability, jealously, and blaming person. Extraversion of Elle Woods is optimistic, talk active, keep in spirit, friendly, passionate, and sociable.
