- This research deals with The Shift of Bahasa Aceh among its Speaker in Delitua Kecamatan Delitua. The Objectives of the Study were (1) to investigate types of Bahasa Aceh language shift in Delitua, (2) to analyze stages Bahasa Aceh language shift in Delitua, (3) to explain the reasons of Bahasa Aceh shift occurring among its speakers in Delitua. This study conducted by using qualitative research. The data were taken from the Acehnese in Delitua Kecamatan Delitua. the data of the study was 30 acehnese speakers were divided into inter marriage and intra marriage. The instruments used for this study were observation, open questionnaire, and interview. The data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Hubarman. The findings of the research were three types of shifting Bahasa Aceh among its speakers namely absence participate actively in the life minority language, there are 12 respondents (40%) , Lack of fluency in Acehnese language, there are 2 respondets (7 %) and ignorance Parents and children to Bahasa Aceh, there are 16 respondents (53%). There were five domains occur in shift Bahasa Aceh In Delitua, Family domain more than 70 % people completely shift Bahasa Aceh to Bahasa Indonesia. Friendship domain at least 60 % they still maintain Bahasa Aceh when the meet with their community in Delitua. Education and religion domain completely shift to Bahasa Indonesia. And the last Employment Domain 93% they completely shift to Bahasa Indonesia and 7% still maintain. There were four reasons the shift of Bahasa Aceh in Delitua namely status of Indonesia language (using language as nationality), environment, parents do not teach Bahasa Aceh to their children and social success.
