  • The problem in this research is that the capital structure is very important for the company to carry out its operational activities and also expand its business, so the company must pay more attention to its capital structure. Capital structure is the proportion between the level of debt and equity (own capital). In determining the optimal capital structure, we must realize many things that influence it. This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, growth opportunities, liquidity and fixed asset ratio on the capital structure of Food and Beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018. The population of this research is 15 companies that have registered food and beverage companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018. Until the research as many as 10 companies with a purposive sampling method, with quantitative research types. The data used is secondary data, namely the company's financial statements obtained from www.idx.co.id. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis, classic assumption test, multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination, F-statistic test and t-statistic test. The results of the research partially showed that profitability had no significant effect on capital structure with a sig value of 0.173. Growth opportunities have no significant effect on capital structure with a sig value of 0.987. Liquidity has a significant effect on capital structure with a sig value of 0,000. Fixed asset ratio has no significant effect on capital structure with a sig value of 0.397. And simultaneously Profitability, Growth Opportunities, Liquidity and Fixed Asset Ratio simultaneously affect the capital structure with a value of sig 0,000. The conclusion of this study is that profitability has no effect on capital structure, growth opportunities have no effect on capital structure, liquidity has an effect on capital structure and Fixed Asset Ratio has no effect on capital structure.
