- UNIMED as an organization that ptroduce professionals people in the field of Nonformal Education (NEE) in particular, is always continue to provide the best service in terms of eucation guidance organized by and for the community. Among the activities given such as guidance to community study groups that exist around the institution itself which is Medan State University. In fostering guidance it is always fit the needs of the target group and the development programs that are running in the target area. In addition, the learning design activities are also always prepared and adapted to the design and local context. The research activities carried out with the involvement of one of the owners of the institution of public education providers or owners of Community Learning Center (CLC), which has been co-managing the nonformal education programs, especial1y to some of the participants in the independent venture literacy education program. From the program followed by the community, the public will see to what extent these programs can improve people's ability or skill, as wel1 as into the livelihood development or entrepreneurship. The results of this study was able to increase the empowerment of women which have equal status with men like to conduct venture independently.
