- Nepenthes spp is one of the unique carnivorous plant species, the numbers continue to decline in the wild. Habitat destruction caused by human activities, volcano eruption of Sinabung and un cultivated exploitation as an ornamental plant threatened its existence. This study aims to invent and determine species diversity of Pitcher plant (Nepenthes spp.) The research in the area of Sembeken Kecamatan Mardinding Kabupaten Karo from 16 September and 20 September 2018. The general and specific descriptors obtained from the experiment were analyzed and arranged in a matrices of STO pair number. Phenogram was created from the calculation of matrices coefficient association. The first group consist of (N mirabilis dan N tobaica) it had a near with their similarity index 86, Group 2(N mirabilis dan N ampularia) had a far distance with similarity index 53 and Group 2 ((N tobaica dan ampularia) ) was the furthest distance with similarity index 40.
