  • The objective of this study was to develop English writing materials based on the students’ needs. This study was conducted by using Research and Development (R & D). The data were gathered by administrating interview to the teachers and distributing questionnaire to the students. The instruments used in this study were interview and questionnaires. The result of this study was a set of developed English writing materials which covered into two units included four texts, three exercises and assesment of writing. The texts were about hair stylist, specialist of anti-aging and beauty spa and salon. The exercises consisted of write an anaysis about subject and place, describe the physical appearances and condition of some rooms and write a descriptive text about subject and place.
