- Development of the profession of sports in Indonesia is still not optimal. This evident from labor market opportunities in the field of sports is still minimal and only focuses on teacher profession of physical education and sports. ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has become a very good moment for the growth and development of a new profession of sports fields in Indonesia. Indeed, seeing from the development of sport science as a new discipline has a wide range of opportunities that may develop during the current AEC. Potential of profession development in the sports field in AEC era as follows: 1) physical education teacher and sports, 2) the field of sports coaches, 3) management and sports business, 3) the fitness field, 4) the field of sports media and 5) research field sports.
