- The aims of this study were to describe the techniques used in translating Nokia 1661 User Guide Book, and to find out the dominant techniques used in Nokia 1661 User Guide Book. The research was conducted by using qualitative descriptive design. The data of this study were clauses, phrases, words, and sentences in Nokia 1661 User Guide book as the source of data. The data were analyzed by using the translation techniques based on Molina and Albir (2002). The results of this study were there were 8 techniques used in translating Nokia 1661 User Guide Book and The dominant techniques used in Nokia 1661 User Guide Book in the translation was borrowing technique.
