This study aims to determine the effect of students' perceptions of teacher competence and student achievement motivation towards learning achievement of economic class X SMA Parulian 1 in The Academic Year 2015/2016. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Parulian 1 in The Academic Year 2015/2016 consists of two classes, namely X-A and X-B, amounting to 90 students. The sample was 90 students obtained through the technique of saturated samples. Data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires.
