  • The aims of this research is to know how effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model Integrated Guided Inquiry by using computer media for student learning outcomes and character on teaching chemistry. The samples are 270 students from 3 unit SMA (Senior High School) in Padangsidempuan city were divided into 3 classes. The data were collected from a sample is the form of student character value obtained from observation and questionnaires, and students achievement from multiple choice test. It consist 23 items and reliability of the test was 0.777. It was categorized high. The test were conducted in the form requirements of normality and homogeneity test, the results showed that thedata was normal and homogeneous. The hypothesis was tested by using General Linear Model (GLM) at the significance level of 0.05 using SPSS 19.0 for windows. The research data shows that: (1) There were the different student learning outcomes by teaching between Problem Based Learning (PBL) Integrated Guided Inquiry learning model using computer media and Direct Interaction (DI). (2) There were the different characters TDKPdMp on teaching between Problem Based Learning (PBL) Integrated Guided Inquiry learning model using computer media and Direct Interaction (DI). (3) There is significant relationship between students learning outcomes with of tolerance, democratic, communicative and self confident characters, but not with the appreciate achievement character.
