- Salah satu parasit yang paling sering menginfeksi insang ikan patin (Pangasius pangasius) adalah Dactylogyrus sp. Infeksi parasit ini dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada insang, hyperplasia, hemoragi, bahkan menyebabkan kematian pada ikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memberikan informasi secara histopatologi tentang perubahan sel atau jaringan insang ikan patin yang terinfeksi ektoparasit Dactylogyrus sp. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode natif untuk mengidentifikasi adanya ektoparasit Dactylogyrus sp dan dilanjutkan dengan pembuatan preparat histopatologi.Pengambilan sampel sebanyak 3 ekor patin yang positif terinfeksi Dactylogyrus sp. Pengamatan dilakukan secara mikroskopik.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya perubahan secara histopatologi yaitu terjadi hyperplasia, fusi lamella sekunder, vakuola dan telangiektasis.Kata kunci: ikan patin (Pangasius pangasius), histopatologi dan Dactylogyrus sp.ABSTRACTOne of the parasites that most often infects the gills of catfish (Pangasius pangasius) is Dactylogyrus sp. This parasitic infection can cause damage to the gills, hyperplasia, hemorrhage, and even cause death in fish. The aim of the study was to provide histopathological information about changes in the cells or gill tissue of catfish infected with ectoparasites Dactylogyrus sp. This study uses a native method to identify the presence of Dactylogyrus sp. ectoparasites and proceed with the preparation of histopathological preparations. Sampling of 3 positive catfish infected with Dactylogyrus sp. Observations made microscopically. The results showed that there was a histopathological change that occurred hyperplasia, secondary lamella fusion, vacuole and telangiectasis.Key word: striped catfish (Pangasius pangasius), histopathology and Dactylogyrus sp.
