Writing is a very important skill for students in learning English as foreign language. However, the students get difficulties in writing. It is required that teachers find alternative technique which could be helpful in teaching writing. Using picture strip story is a possible solution. This study employs library research, which was conducted through the readings of related sources available. The collected data were then processed and described systematically. The study found that picture strip story can help students improve writing skill. Besides, they become more active, motivate, and confident because of the picture strip story presents the colorful picture and it is more livelier so that the students can be more active and motivate in writing. Therefore, we hope that the results of this study can be used as a treatment model in teaching writing. Keyword : Picture Strip Story, Writing
