  • ABSTRACTTamarind leaf is one of various natural plants source in Indonesia which has the potency as medicines plant, one of this potency is inhibit the growth of bacteria. Escherichia coli are opportunistic bacteria and can cause infection to human. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of methanol extract of tamarind leaf (Tamarindus indica L.) on the growth of Escherichia coli by in vitro. This research use Randomize Complete Design which consist of 5 treatment and 5 restating. Test of antimicrobial activity conducted by using diffuse method. The parameter perceived by seen diameter of inhibition zone extract methanol of tamarind leaf formed on growth of Escherichia coli.
