- This thesis was a literary criticism which discussed about Postcolonial Journey in A Passage To India which experienced by Miss Adela Quested. The study aims at investigated how far Miss Adela Quested did the journey and the alternatives in India. To achieve those aims, the researcher applied postcolonial journey, proposed by Sarah Upstone. Postcolonial Journey is the theory concept that explained about freedom, pleasure and satisfaction in order to leave from the order and border that controlled them (Upstone, 2009). The motive in applied the Postcolonial Journey theory is there had not been previous researchers using this (See Muhammad Ayub Jajja, 2013) (Frouzan et al 2014) (Shazia Rani et al 2015). In addition, this resesarch applied descriptive qualitative approach. The study found that A Passage To India was the novel that presents the postcolonial theme which tells about the journey of Miss Adela Quested. This study showed that the order and border was did by British to Miss Adela Quested in order to not did the journey with India natives and only allowed did the journey with British. So, it can be concluded that the human not loose of the boredom, although Miss Adela tried to looked for pleasure with did the journey she still make bored. It was because the human should followed the order and border with the aims his life more focussed and can can not denied if the human need the order and border.
