  • The objectives of this study were: Firstly, to determine the weight ratio of orange peel and rice husk charcoal in the adsorption of physico-chemical parameters of liquid waste textile industry as revealed by the textile wastewater standard(Perda Jateng No. 10 / 2004). Secondly, to determine the effectiveness of the weight ratio of orange peel and rice husk charcoal in decreasing of physico-chemical parameters textile liquid waste. Thirdly, to determine the model of adsorption isotherm of weight ratio of orange peel and rice husk charcoal. Data were analyzed by Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), 3 treatments and 9 replications. As the treatments are various weight ratio adsorbent (gram/gram), which are 2,5 : 2,5 ; 3,5 : 1,5 ; and 4,5 : 0,5, respectively, and as the block is the time analysis. To test the differences between treatments means, the Honestly Significant of Differences (HSD) were used at 5% level of significant. The result of this study showed that the addition of 3.5 grams of orange peel can decrease standard quality parameters TSS, pH and BOD, while the addition of 2.5 grams of orange peel can decrease COD and heavy metals (Cu, Cd, and Fe). Furthermore, the addition of 1.5 grams of rice husk charcoal can decrease standard quality parameters TSS, COD and Cu respectively, whereas the addition of 2.5 grams of rice husk charcoal can decrease standard quality parameters of BOD, pH, Fe and Cd. The effectiveness of the orange peel adsorbent to decrease TSS, BOD, COD and pH of textile liquid waste ranged from 17.03 to 38.17% and heavy metals (Fe, Cu, and Cd) between 60.45 to 69.12% in period of time 360 minutes. In the contrary, the effectiveness of rice husk charcoal adsorbent to decrease TSS, BOD, COD and pH ranged from 36.23 to 86.88% and heavy metals (Fe, Cu, and Cd) between 20.87 to 88.24% within 360-720 minutes. Model of adsorption isotherm of orange peel and rice husk charcoal addition for Cadmium did not follow neither the Langmuir isotherm model nor Freundlich isotherm model. Cu with orange peel addition followed the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm with the maximum adsorption capacity (Cm) 0.33 mg / g. And the addition of rice husk charcoal followed both Langmuir and Freundlich with the maximum adsorption capacity (Cm) 0.91 mg /g. Further on Fe with orange peel addition followed Freundlich with the adsorption capacity (Cm) 0.26 mg/g, but Fe with rice husk charcoal followed both Freundlich and Langmuir with maximum adsorption capacity was 0.54 mg/g.
