- Remaja melakukan perilaku seksual disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satu faktornya adalah self-esteem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menguji adanya hubungan antara self-esteem dengan perilaku seksual pada remaja awal.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 7 Salatiga sebanyak 83 siswa, dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Rayden (1978), dan skala perilaku seksual oleh Soetjiningsih (2008. Hubungan antara self-esteem dengan perilaku seksual diuji dengan menggunakan uji korelasi product-moment pearson menujukkan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara self-esteem dengan perilaku seksual pada remaja awal, dengan r = -0,446 dengan sig. = 0,000 (p < 0,05).
- Sexual behavior in adolescent were cause by many factors. One of many factors was self-esteem. The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between self-esteem and sexual behavior in early adolescent. This study was conducted towards 83 students of SMPN 7 Salatiga, that were selected by accidental sampling. The data was collected using Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory it was modified by Ryden (1978) and sexual behavior scale by Soetjiningsih (2008). The relationship between self-esteem and sexual behavior in early adolescent tested with Pearson's product moment correlation. The obtained correlation coefficient is at -0.446 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0,05). , thus it can be concluded that there is a significant negative correlation between self-esteem with sexual behavior in adolescent.
