- Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) merupakan sebuah proyek dari Google Inc yang menyediakan layanan pengiriman informasi berupa pesan (notification message) ke perangkat mobile Android. Pada aplikasi mobile commerce saat ini, pengiriman informasi mengenai proses transaksi yang terjadi dilakukan melalui telepon, SMS, maupun email. Pengiriman informasi transaksi yang dilakukan dengan cara tersebut tergolong lama dan menimbulkan kurang percayanya pembeli terhadap proses transaksi dari mobile commerce yang dilakukan karena respon yang lama dari pihak penjual. GCM memberikan kemudahan dalam menyampaikan pesan secara gratis. Seiring perkembangan, diperlukan suatu cara atau media untuk menyampaikan informasi dengan cepat dan praktis. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibangun aplikasi jual beli yang memanfaatkan Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) dalam menyampaikan notification message dari penjual kepada pembeli mengenai proses transaksi yang terjadi. Pesan ini akan diterima pembeli melalui perangkat mobile Android. Penelitian ini akan menghasilkan suatu aplikasi jual beli secara online berbasis mobile device di mana pengiriman informasi mengenai transaksi yang terjadi akan dilakukan secara otomatis dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Google Cloud Messaging (GCM).
- Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) is a project of Google Inc. that provides services of information delivery a message (message notification) to Android mobile devices. Nowadays, mobile commerce application still send the message about the transaction with phone, SMS, or email. Sending a message like that will take a long time to proceed the transaction and will make the customer can’t trust the mobile commerce transaction. GCM provides convenience in conveying message for free without bound magnitude of a message. Along with the development needs of a way or medium to convey information quickly and practically. In this research will be built trading applications involving utilization of Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) which has a role to convey the message notification from seller to buyer. Message notification can contain information about transactions carried out buyers, as well as other message that need to delivered seller to buyer. This Message will be received through a mobile device Android buyers. This research will make a mobile commerce application where involving utilization of Google Cloud Messaging to delivery the message about the transaction that happen.
