  • In Good Wives book (1982), womenâ€TMs life in Northern New England from 1650-1750 is affected by Christian Learning. But as feminism grows, many Christian Churches are built under gender equality understanding like Pentecostal Church. Gereja Utusan Pantekosta di Indonesia Jemaat Ps. Legi, in particular, was lead by Sister M. A. Alt who rejected womenâ€TMs limitations in ministry. This research is questioning whether gender equality still exists for women in Gereja Utusan Pantekosta di Indonesia through its members (aged 20 to 30) responses toward Proverbs 31:26 “She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.â€TM (Proverbs 31: 26 (KJV)).This study uses readerâ€TMs response method to find out their ideas of gender equality. Working with Feminist Theologies Reformist Model perspective, the research tells that the male respondents may have a better understanding about gender equality than the females.
