- Jumlah sekolah di Kabupaten Temangung sudah berimbang dan merata untuk setiap daerah, termasuk jumlah sekolah menengah pertama (SMP/Sederajat). Secara umum sarana dan prasarana setiap sekolah sudah baik namun sekitar 50% sekolah SMP/Sederajat masih belum mempunyai jaringan internet. Keterbatasan tersebut menyebabkan terhambatnya penyampaian informasi terutama tentang sekolah menengah atas sederajat (SMA/Sederajat) sehingga masih banyak pelajar lulusan SMP yang kebingungan mencari informasi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang berikutnya. Sebenarnya data pokok mengenai Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA), Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dan Madrasah Aliyah (MA) dapat diakses melalui laman web Dinas Pendidikan Nasional. Oleh karena itu diperlukan aplikasi mengenai media informasi sekolah yang mencakup wilayah Kabupaten Temanggung berbasis desktop. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Software Development Live Cycle (SDLC) model waterfall namun baru sampai tahap design. Pemodelan design aplikasi menggunakan Unified Model Language (UML). Berdasarkan tahapan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, telah dihasilkan rancangan aplikasi mengenai media informasi sekolah yang mencakup wilayah Kabupaten Temanggung berbasis desktop yang siap diimplementasikan.
- The number of schools in Temangung Regency has been balanced and evenly distributed for each region, including the number of junior high schools (SMP / equivalent). In general, the facilities and infrastructure of each school are good but around 50% of junior high schools /equivalent still do not have an internet network. This limitation causes delays in the delivery of information, especially about high school equivalent (SMA / equivalent) so that there are still many junior high school students who are confused looking for information to continue their education to the next level. Actually the main data on Senior High Schools (SMA), Vocational High Schools (SMK) and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) can be accessed through the website National Education Agency's. Therefore an application for school information media that covers the area of Temanggung Regency is needed on an desktop basis. This study uses the Software Development Live Cycle (SDLC) method of the waterfall model, but only until the stage design. Application design modeling uses the Unified Model Language (UML). Based on the stages of the research that has been carried out, an application design has been produced regarding school information media covering the area of desktop-based Temanggung Regency that is ready to be implemented.
