- Vocabulary is one of important aspects in communication. This study investigates students’ vocabulary problems during interaction using Computer-mediated Communication (CMC). The practice of CMC occurred in education setting to promote learning process through famous massaging applications. The participants of this study were 10 English Language Education (ELE) freshmen students of Faculty of Language and Arts (FLA). The students were chosen for the data collection process, thus they have different proficiency in English. The data were collected using stimulated recall protocol focused on pauses and revisions; followed by semi-structured interview. The data later were analyzed to find the difficulties that faced by the students. This study has found that FLA freshmen students have faced some of vocabulary problems during communication.
