  • The planting media that does not contain nutrients and provide nutrients with an inappropriate EC (Electrical Conductivity) value when nursery in hydroponics causes the growth rate of pakcoy mustard seedlings to be slow. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of various EC values on the growth of mustard seeds and to know the EC value that can produce the best growth of mustard greens. The study was conducted in Candirejo Village, Ungaran Barat District, Semarang Regency from July to August 2018. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design with 7 treatments EC (0 mS), (0.4 mS), (0.8 mS), (1.2 mS), (1.6 mS), (2.0 mS), and (2.4 mS) and 4 repetitions. Observation parameters include seedling height, seedling weight, and leaf area. Observations were analyzed using variance (F5% test). To find out the differences between treatments the DMRT test with a 5% confidence interval was used. To determine the closeness and shape of the relationship between treatments used correlation and regression tests. The results showed various EC values had a very significant effect on seed height, seedling weight, and leaf area. EC 2.4 mS values give the highest yield on seedling growth parameters.
