- LINQ (Language INtegrated Query) is a new programming language that built by Microsoft Corp. for Windows application developers to make their jobs more easier when they need a data that come from different sources (i.e. relational database, XML file, etc.) because query for anything data sources will be done with the similar syntax. This paper was wrote for introduce LINQ for GIS (Geographical Information System) application developers that build GIS application for Windows operating system. This paper shows how LINQ will make GIS application developer's jobs more easier when they work with GML (Geography Markup Language) (GML is a XML vocabulary and a standard for message passing between one GIS and another). When GIS application developers use GML, they can reach the. best interoperability between their GIS and another GIS applications. In the other side, LINQ can be use for query similarity when GIS application developers need a data that come from different sources.
