  • The purposes of this study are: Firstly, to determine the relationship between the organizational climate and the organizational commitment to the work satisfaction as revealed by male and female employees of Departement Agricultural and Forestry in Ambon. Secondly, to determine the work of satisfaction differences based on the genders of Department Agricultural and Forestry in Ambon. The study involves 85 employees of Departmen Agricultural and Forestry in Ambon. There are 3 measuring instrument used in this research, namely: Job Satisfaction Scale (JSS) Warr et al (1979), Organizational Climate Questionnaire (OCQ) Stringer (dalam Wirawan, 2007), and Commitment Organizational Questionnaires (COQ) Allen & Meyer (1990). Data analyzed using test assumptions analysis, significant test simultaneous (F) test, significant parameters test individual (t) test, analysis and test a coefficient determination (R2) through pragram spss 16.0 windows version. The results of this study show that the organizational climate and organizational commitment of the male employees of Depatment Agricultural and Forestry in Ambon, are not simultaneously correlated with the work satisfaction Fhitung < Ftabel (0,637 < 3,220) and p>0,05. On the contrary, the organizational climate and organizational commitment of the female employees are simultaneously correlated with the work satisfaction the employees of Department Agricultural and Forestry in Ambon . The study also shows that there is a difference in the work satisfaction between the male thitung (-1,054) < ttabel (-1,680) and female thitung (20,712) > ttabel (1,685) employees of the Department Agricultural and Forestry Department in Ambon.
