  • Listening comprehension as one’s ability to recognize another through sense, aural organs and allocate a meaning to the message to understand it. To build this skill, learners can explore spoken English through several media. One of them is Youtube. Youtube has lots of videos that can use material as English lessons that can be used as an effective learning tool for listening comprehension. This research aim to analyze students’ perception toward using Youtube in Learning Listening by English Education Department Students’ of Universitas Muria Kudus. In this research, there are two resesarch questions proposed by the researcher: How is the perception toward using Youtube in Learning Listening by English Education Department Students’ of Universitas Muria Kudus?. This is a qualitative descriptive research conducted in the 4th semester of the English Education Department of Universitas Muria Kudus in the academic year 2020/2021 with documentation, questionnaire and interview for collecting the data. The researcher takes 35 students who join the listening class and lecturer of academic listening. The result indicates that the students perceive that YouTube media is very helpful to learn listening. Through YouTube, students get a lot of video references to improve listening skills and increase knowledge. But there are also obstacles for students in using youtube. For learning listening skill, the obstacle is bad internet connection and difference accents of the speaker in the video. Therefore the researcher hopes that students use YouTube as well as possible for the learning process and using YouTube can be utilized optimally by teachers in listening class. so that students can more easily understand learning in listening class.
