- In works of art, titles of work are considered as one of theways to understand the meaning of the displayed works. However, the function of title in modern works of art which show abstract form in their works is considered unimportant. This Phenomenon is seen in works of formalist modern arts which often use the term ‘untitled’ or even without title in their work. This surely makes arts observants who have limited knowledge about arts to be able to appreciate the works well. Based on the phenomenon, this research is made to observe the connection between a title of a work and work’s visualization in A.D. Pirous works. There are lots of calligraphy and abstract formalism’s style in Pirous works. Consequently, putting a title could be helpful to observant to understand his works Moreover, the function of a title is very important as a title functions as a clue to understand the meaning of his works.
