- Provision of contraceptive injections are common side effects such as weight gain and breast pain. Besides the side effects of injectable KB 3 months also cause psychological disturbance problems one of which is depression. Based on the results of a preliminary study with interviews conducted on 13 April 2014 from 10 (100%) acceptors are experiencing side effects weight gain obtained results: 1) Of 3 (30%) acceptors like wearing dark clothes to look sexy (compensation), 2) Of 2 (20%) acceptors preen more than usual (preparation of reaction), dan 3) Of 5 (50%) acceptors considered overweight or gaining weight is normal (release).This research is descriptive, population all injectable acceptors 3 months experience side effects weight gain were 30 acceptors and acceptors total sample of 30 with a sampling technique is total sampling. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire, then the data is processed by using the editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating. The result showed that the acceptor using the coping mechanisms of repression by 7 (23,3%) acceptors, preparation reaction 3 (10,0%) acceptors, sublimation 4 (13,3%) acceptors, compensation 10 (33,4%) acceptors, release 5 (16,6%) acceptors, simpatisme 1 (3,4%) acceptors.Conclusions coping mechanisms injectable acceptors 3 month experience side effects weight gain compensation using coping mechanisms.Expected for midwifes to provide educational information about the communication coping mechanisms injectable acceptors 3 months experience side effects weight gain.Keywords: Coping Mechanisms, Acceptors, KB Injecting 3 Months, Side Effects Off Weight Gain
