- One of crucial challenges for muslim intellectuals is how to develop a new paradigm of Islamic economy which is based on the integrated principle of humanism and theology. This integrated principle is expected to be able to guarantee people’s wellbeing within in the framework of Islamic rule. To develop this principle, a historical record of thoughts and development on Islamic economy is necessarily required. Islamic economy offers an alternative solution for the unsteady global economy which is still dominated by quarrelling socialist. The domination of socialist has been blamed for the destroying the essence of humanism and civilization thought the strong influence of hedonism and materialist concept.
