- This article is about a new role of archives in Colombia. According to the author the archives have, nowadays, two social roles like tools in favor of justice and peace. The button line is how archives could contribute not just for historic and administrative purposes but for many other fields like education, democracy, sociology, publicity, etc and urged the archivists to enhanced de use of archives beyond the frontiers of basic uses: history and management.
