- Among the traditions of the departmental libraries of the School of Humanities and Sciences of Education, there was and informal and fluid interaction with students and faculty of each carreer which in some cases included the creation working groups for the solution of specific situations: moving and transfer of material, processes of subject reorganization, indexation of serials, among others. These situations were lived like an important part of the academic formation that favored the acquisition of techniques and habits of investigation, generating a critical attitude and allowing the knowledge of the available material. After the process of integration of the departmental libraries , this tradition loose continuity and generated the distance of the academic community that frequented them. Nevertheless, a part of the community, during this process, began to use some of the new services, specially the access to open shelves, the interlibrary loan and the electronic resources, building a different relationship with the libary. At the moment there are groups of students from different carreers for whom library stopped to be a place to look for bibliography solely, to became again a shared space of study and of generation of new knowledges. In this communication we outline some experiences made with some of those groups and trace some general lines of a serial of proposals which promote this interaction.
