- Research in the field of electronic content management is growing significantly with different topics, such as: definition of information systems, design of content management systems, information architecture models, pedagogical models, information repositories, and others. Taking into consideration the former research trends, the key factors for the development of an automatic tool based on content syndication for the extraction and design of contents, the creation of materials by subject for different degrees and postgraduate courses. This tool is oriented to foster the usage of electronic information resources for teaching. The formerly mentioned automatic tool is supported by structures developed for electronic libraries. In conclusion, a methodology based in content syndication and the re-use of electronic contents, oriented to improve the quality of training, and to satisfy the heterogeneous information needs of university students.
