- The rapidly increase in renewals of journals' subscriptions and the economic difficulty that the library of the University of Patras is faced, leads to the activation of a mechanism which it will have as an initial result the journals' valuation and the rational distribution of the library's budget. Different parameters are examined and compared, like the economic charge in relation with the classical print collection, the necessity of specified personnel, material infrastructure, etc., with main hub the achievement of better and fully coverage of the needs for instruction, search and learning.
